Sales Tweet #245

by Rick Baker
On Jun 24, 2011
Sales Tweet #245 The Boss made the mistake of getting on Ernest’s back about ‘wheat, chaff, & nose to grindstone’.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Following the comments about Contacts and Sales [see Sales Tweet #242], The Boss felt the need to repeat another lecture for Earnest Seller. The Boss booked the meeting and sent out an agenda to help Ernest prepare and keep focused. The Boss gave Ernest a package where he talked about separating wheat from chaff and putting the nose to the grindstone. He asked Ernest to consider some ways to move toward sales excellence. When Ernest arrived for the meeting The Boss asked, “So Ernest, have you thought of ways to put your nose to the grindstone?” Ernest replied, “Yes Boss. I spent a lot of time thinking about that. And I cannot figure out any way to do it that won’t leave me with a flat face”.
