Have you ever stopped to think about negativity?
I mean - have you ever set aside 30 minutes or so to consider what negativity does and the many forms negativity takes.
An Introduction to What Negativity Does
- It consumes and wastes our precious personal-energy.
- It is contagious, affecting one then infecting other people...wasting their personal-energies.
- If you believe in the Law of Attraction then negativity attracts more negativity and causes negative outcomes.
The Forms Negativity Takes
- Eckhart Tolle says each and every one of us is born with a pain body [some larger than others]
- Our Egos can be homes and outlets for negativity
- Our faces and bodies can express negativity...i.e., body language
- We feel negative Emotions
- We have negative Thoughts
- We perform negative Actions
- We talk negatively, justifying our reasons for it, explaining it, rationalizing it, finding fault in others, and blaming situations
We do not have to think and do these negative things.
We do them because they are part of human nature. We do them because many of us were not born with the gift of self-monitoring and self-regulation....so, if we want to be less negative then we must learn how to do it. And, learning how to be less negative takes work and discipline. It is a skill.
Being less negative is a skill we can learn if we choose to.
Working on being less negative is a Good Habit.

“Worry not only saps vitality and wastes energy, but it also seriously affects the quality of one’s work. It cuts down ability. A man can not get the highest quality of efficiency into his work when his mind is troubled. The mental faculties must have perfect freedom before they will give out their best. A troubled brain can not think clearly, vigorously, and anything like the same force when the brain cells are poisoned with anxiety as when they are fed by pure blood and are clean and unclouded.” Orison Swett Marden ‘Pushing to the Front’, (1911)
