Of course, Sir Winston Churchill comes to mind, “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

Churchill, singularly, inspired a nation.

But, there's more to it...

Churchill inspired himself.

This quote touches two important Spirited Leaders' philosophies -

Constructive Criticism is an Oxymoron

and

Influence is the Essence of Leadership.

Skills, goals and plans will always be required.

Without these basics, work is demoralizing and frustrating.

Without these basics, unless they have tremendous will, people give up their dreams and hope.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

...but for one letter...

Ever since, I cannot witness criticism without having at least a slight smile.

The joys of evolution!

It seems [until someone helps me understand otherwise] we humans are the only animals capable of pointing fingers at others.

We alone enjoy all the benefits of both opposing thumbs and blame-pointing fingers.
