Creativity feeds and grows...depending on the curiosity behind its dominating questions.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Curiosity is the precursor to Creativity.

We see Curiosity in young children...they approach life as if it is a question free-for-all.

Children, somehow, know they must ask questions or they will learn little and not do well in life.

Curiosity is one childlike habit we should not give up.

Sales people should select heroes, learn from them, and emulate their talents & strengths.

I see better ways of approaching Sales.

For example...

Sales people can and should learn from ‘heroes’...as many as possible. First, ask the question – Is this person a hero worth studying? Consider - WHY is this person a hero? Because of vision?, goals? resilience? quick wit? personal magnetism? Then learn the details about those person's most-admirable qualities/strengths, select specific stories that capture the admirable qualities, carry those stories in mind, and draw upon them when the going gets tough.

People mirror trust.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Trust: it's a dynamic thing; it flows 2 ways; you must extend it in order to receive it; it starts with Thought, then it inspires Action.

***

A double-entendre metaphor: we have mirror neurons in our brains to help us understand other people's intentions...and we tend to mirror other people's behaviour.

Ancient communication wisdom: "Men trust their ears less than their eyes."

"Men trust their ears less than their eyes."

Herodotus

Greek Historian, 484BCE-425BCE

Now, 2400 years after Herodotus, psychologists are completing experiments that confirm Herodotus' ancient wisdom...our eyes overrule our ears...truly, we do believe what our eyes see them do more than what our ears hear them say. This applies to their major actions and to their minor body-language signals.

As the pace of change increases, so does the power of leaders' courage & confidence.

And courage & confidence require lots of energy...because energy is needed to fuel clear thought and action.

So - use your energy as best you can, ensuring some of it goes to developing your self-confidence [which fuels the development of courage].

Spirited Leaders know that needs of the spirit lead to deeds of the spirit.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

It has always been that way; it will always be that way.

When people fail to satisfy their 'needs of the spirit' they fail to self-actualize...they fail to realize/deliver their potential.

When people fail to satisfy their needs of the spirit they fall short of making a real difference.

Spirited Needs - your most valuable drive-energy.

Spirited Deeds - the elite of your Good Habits.
