Strike while the iron is hot...Yes! - but first, learn how to recognize the signs of heat.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

'Strike while the iron is hot'...we all know that means we must take advantage of opportunities before they vanish. 'Carpe diem', 'Seize the day', etc. Good advice. But how do we truly and accurately know theiron is hot? The few Blacksmiths who are still working have an advantage over other business people. When hot, their irons glow with heat and that glow provides to them clear and accurate visual cues. TheSituations at hand contain vivid visual cues for the Blacksmiths. But - how do you know when your irons are hot?

Problems are like icebergs: the biggest parts of them are below the surface.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

We human beings have a curious habit. We tend to express problems in ways that conceal the real sources of our 'pain'. I suppose our egos make us play word and mind games...prettying up our real problems with make-up so other people will view us in [what our egos hope will be] a better light.

Spirited Leaders likes this Collins’ advice for a number of reasons.

Here are two:

  1. It aligns with an abundance mentality and
  2. It aligns with how most people’s strengths can be put to best use.

Apes and monkeys solve problems for the fun of it. If they enjoy solving problems then so can we.

Of course, I can not prove this from first-hand experience…although; I have always been very fond of monkeys.

The point: problem solving is a key to small things and things as big as civilization. We might as well approach it as enthusiastically as the other primates.

Let’s not forget the tough time Charlton Heston had to go through in those Planet of the Apes movies.

And relax - we human beings have a leg up on the lower primates.

We have P=2S+O!

Talk about bad habits: Instead of saying "I don't have time"why not communicate the real problem?

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Saying "I don't have time" and "I'm too busy" ... those are bad habits. They are bad habits that show how a person can self-brainwash to distract self or others or protect against something. But what? What is really going on behind those false claims?
