The Thinking Behind The Tweet
Every human being possesses intelligence and self-control at birth. To a certain degree, and the degree varies from person to person, we develop these two abilities over time. The amount of intelligence and self-control we develop determines the extent we are able to express our strengths.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet
The folks from Gallup concluded that Personal STRENGTH = Natural Talent + specialized, relevant Knowledge + Skill. It is generally accepted that people take about 10,000 hours to master skills. Putting those two together: people can master a business role if they draw upon their natural Talents, gain specialized Knowledge related to their role, and develop Skills through practice, practice, practice.

The Thinking Behind the Tweet
Some folks think Leaders should butt out and provide followers free reins to go about their work as they choose. Some folks think that’s the way to unleash creativity and maximize motivation, innovation, and results.
On the other hand, many [perhaps most] entrepreneur-Leaders tend to micromanage.
4 keys to success in business:
- The Leader must pick strong/capable followers,
- The Leader must tell those followers the desired BIG PICTURE things such as VISION and MAJOR GOALS,
- The Leader must show those followers how he/she [the Leader] goes about his/her work [actions]…i.e., setting one example, the example that fits the Leader’s strengths and personality, and
- The Leader must make it clear he/she expects followers to take action that fits their unique strengths and personalities.
