Thought Tweet #895

by Rick Baker
On Dec 20, 2013

Thought Tweet #895 Climb out of a rut & step into the groove.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Wherever you are you are making a stance and making a statement.

Might as well not make your statements from a rut.

Better to take your stances and make your statements while in the groove.

Note to self: Anyone can complain about his or her situation and many do...regularly. Picture them. They are up to their armpits in ruts. Probably, somewhere deep down in those ruts they'd rather be in the groove. Don't just look at them groping frantically and bumping off the walls of their ruts. Extend a hand. Maybe you can help them out.

Thought Tweet #894

Thought Tweet #894 Talk about communication gaps...when you gaze into the communication abyss it screams back at you.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

The biggest problem in business continues to be communication gaps...which continue to broaden & deepen and, far too often, are ignored or set aside for another day.

Improvement of Communication begins with the leader.

Yes, Nietzsche gazed into the abyss and it returned the favour. Gaze into Communication at your business. Does it scream in discomfort at you? What do you plan to do about that?

As the saying goes...If not today, WHEN? If not you, WHO?

Thought Tweet #893 Why did Evolution deny human ears the privilege of showing us when they are actually operating?

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Our eyes fare better.

Even our mouths, which cause us so much trouble, fare better.

This helps us understand why dogs are Mans' Best Friend.

Thought Tweet #892 Machiavelli taught: What you acquire with difficulty you retain with ease...and vice-versa.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

So, in the big picture, struggle is a good and necessary thing. Struggle, in its very nature, contains obstacles and problems.

It is true - opportunity does ride on the wings of adversity.

So, sustainability too rides on the wings of adversity.

Thought Tweet #891 The greatest of leaders change themselves. They mould their character to remove the bad habits that prevent leadership.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Sometimes they replace combative attitudes with kind attitudes. Sometimes they toughen up their softness. Either way they mould their character to remove the bad habits that prevent leadership.

Thought Tweet #890

On Dec 13, 2013

Thought Tweet #890 Bad behaviour drains us. Interpersonal dysfunction eats up positive energy. [So, put a stop to it.]

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Dysfunctional interactions de-energize. They wound spirit, sometimes fatally.

We have choices. We can choose to participate in bad behaviour. We can choose to not participate in bad behaviour. We can choose to stand by and watch others participate in bad behaviour. We can choose to step up and help others not participate in bad behaviour.
