Thought Tweet #409 Confidence: what you feel when you believe you have what it takes to do well, or excel at Actions in Situations

The Thinking Behind the Tweet

That's a Spirited Leaders' definition. Like Courage, Confidence is one of Spirited Leaders' Values. Courage and Confidence go hand in hand...with Courage taking the lead.

Thought Tweet #408 Ego is the part of the mind that causes us to do what feels good to us or looks good to others.

The Thinking Behind the Tweet

That's a Spirited Leaders' definition. Some say Ego is a flaw. For example, if I understand him accurately, Eckhart Tolle considers Ego to be a pain body that really provides no benefit. [And I have a great deal of respect for Eckhart Tolle.] I think Ego is a valuable piece of the human condition but it is only valuable when people self-monitor and self-regulate to make sure Ego stays within boundaries of moderation.

Thought Tweet #406 Computers and Salespeople have a couple of things in common: they prefer YES and NO over MAYBE.

The Thinking Behind the Tweet

David Sandler taught Salespeople to 'Go for the NO'. Better to understand the answer is NO than to bump along assuming the answer is MAYBE with a chance of YES.

Thought Tweet #405 NEWSFLASH - Curiosity did not kill the Cat!

The Thinking Behind the Tweet

Curiosity helped the Cat initiate and innovate. That's the saying we ought to pass down from generation to generation.

Thought Tweet #404 If you could only build one thing, what would it be?

The Thinking Behind the Tweet

For leaders, this question can be a reality check. After all - deep down - doesn't every leader and every aspiring leader want to build something?
