Even if that cloud doesn't have a silver lining it still might bring a rainbow.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

While I have never explored the interior of clouds to discern whether or not they are actually silver...I have marveled at the majesty of rainbows.

[Perhaps that's not too bad for a half-colour-blind guy who studied math and engineering.]

[[...now about that visible light spectrum]]

I developed a serious interest in other people ... in less than 6 decades.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

From a very early age, I noticed people making mistakes. I didn't just notice it. Their mistakes scraped in my ears, seared my eyes, and caused me all sorts of other discomfort, anxiety, and annoyance.

But, in less than 6 decades I managed to get beyond the constant barrage of other people's errors...and, when all the dust cleared, I found myself truly interested in other people.

A Baker's Thought: It's easy to eat a cake, it's harder to make one, and it's even harder to create a cake recipe.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

If you don't see any cakes, check first to see if your people have cake recipes.

Another Baker's Thought: Most of the time when people don't do what you expect it is because they do not know how!

[Don't Tell them To - Show them How]

Now see, I do listen.

Not as often as I should.

Not as well as I should.

 It's a process...

Only tiny creatures perceive molehills as mountains.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Moles are small creatures and they make small hills.

If you perceive a molehill to be a mountain then you must be much smaller than a mole...you must be a tiny creature indeed.

If we just had some clone spray then we could all communicate better.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Expanding on the good work of Thought Tweet #718...

When people don't 'get us' [or 'get it'] we could clone-spray them. Then we would not have to waste a bunch of time repeating and repeating ourselves until they finally understand us. We wouldn't have to raise our voices to help them think more clearly. Similarly, they could clone spray us before they tried to tell us stuff...and we would finally be able to understand what they keep repeating.

That's So Obvious!

Wait a second. There could be some complications...some contraindications...nasty side-effects. We could end up with Wild-West style shootouts where the fastest draw becomes the winner of every communication. Or, sneak-up-and-spray pre-emptive strikes. And what about hired gun clone-sprayers.

Damn...maybe clone spray isn't such a good idea after all.
