Some folks are so brutal in front of faces they don't have to repeat themselves behind backs.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Constructive Criticism Is An Oxymoron.

When toxic people succeed in work environments that success is always short-lived...and the success comes at a high price.

And related to this...

If you feel compelled to repeat yourself make sure you don't do it behind people's backs.

And...

How is it that back-talk happens face-to-face?

Today is 'National Return An Unsolicited Phone Call Day'... [Give a salesperson or an innovator a break today]

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

People in our community are most-Intelligent. People in our community are most-caring. People in our community are most-giving volunteers.

That's why people in our business community must lead the charge!

Salespeople and innovators deserve a break ...let's give them one today...let's deliver some pleasant surprises in the form of returning an unsolicited phone call and asking them what they are trying to persuade us to do. And, let's not just give this lip service. Let's show some genuine interest...even if we have to fake it until we make it.

If we want Canada to regain its position as a world leader in innovation...we need to start doing some stuff like this.

When you boil them down [of course, figuratively not literally] people have not changed.

Don't let new communication technologies and media-options confuse you.

Yes, I accept the fact many people face computer lights hour after hour, day after day, and that probably has changed the way many of us read. For example, this probably has reduced both our interest in and ability to read lengthy paragraphs 'on-line'. So, we probably do prefer bullet points over lengthy on-line prose.

And Yes, I accept we are inundated with advertising messages after advertising messages [the Attention Dilemma]. So, the things we communicate must be interesting to catch and hold other people's attention.

Don't let these things confuse you - people have not changed.

We just need to pay more attention to them.
