If you think you are too busy then you are thinking wrong.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

I favour abundance thinking over scarcity mindsets.

If I decide I think "I'm too busy" then I have selected a scarcity mindset with respect to time, the most-precious commodity...or darned close to it.

So - I must not think "I'm too busy."

And - I must leave "I'm too busy" to the people who choose to embrace those scarcity mindsets.

The optimist probably are just as wrong as the pessimists...but optimists have more fun.

Just don’t let optimism get outside the bounds of realism.

2 types of people succeed in business: (1) those who naturally 'get it' and (2) those who observe well & learn.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

There are only 2 types of people who experience meaningful success in business:

  1. Those few, the intuitive, who somehow naturally 'get it' and 'seek & solve' their way for as long as it takes to obtain success.
  2. Those few who observe and attend to mentors [who are willing to help them], emulate heroes' best qualities and sooner or later, after much work, 'get it'.

In business, no other types of people achieve meaningful success.

None of us can forecast the future: the best we can do is predict...do our best...then deal with actual situations.

About Planning: Why plan? Who should plan? etc.

Predict! When the word 'plan' [as in 'strategic plan'] annoys people, don't argue it or fight it. Choose to use the word 'predict'.

Some people take the same route to work every day...if that route is blocked, they cannot find a way to work.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Human Beings all creatures of habit.

While considering our goals we always have many routes to achieve them. However, sometimes we just cannot look ahead and see new routes. We become victims of our situations, stalled in the present, stalled in the problem.

When we look outward and feel things are beyond our control it is most difficult to look inward and muster self-control.

The Thinking Behind The Tweet

Some situations seem to be beyond our control. In fact, some situations are beyond our control. Other situations just appear to be beyond our control. Regardless, really beyond our control or appearing beyond our control - these are the situations that put our self-control to the toughest test. When our locus of control is tested, so is our self-control. We do better when we anticipate these situations and prepare, in our minds, for them.
