Sales Tweet #252

Sales Tweet #252 Miss Tayken, The Boss’ secretary believes in punctuality…she fixes commas and other squiggly things.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
When Miss Tayken was first hired The Boss asked if she could type. She said, “No but my sister can”. She has come a long way. And, she is fond of Ernest so she tries to help him out. The operative word there is ‘tries’.

Sales Tweet #250

On Jul 1, 2011
Sales Tweet #250 Ernest likes the motto… ‘No one ever injured his eyesight by looking on the bright side of things’.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Yup, Ernest Seller is an upbeat guy. And, he likes sayings like this one. Also, he believes in the Napoleon Hill classic, ‘Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win’. For the most part, Ernest is oblivious to the petty things others may dwell on. He is a happy fellow. Ernest enjoys each day. While others, like The Boss and Mr. Kaye, try to cause him stress Ernest marches on…to the beat of his own drummer.

Sales Tweet #249

Sales Tweet #249 Heavy winds damaged trees and left twigs all over Ernest’s yard. Today, he’s calling the branch manager.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Now, wasn’t that a nasty trick Ernest Seller’s neighbour played on him? Telling him to call City Hall and ask for the branch manager.

Sales Tweet #248

Sales Tweet #248 Here’s one difference between Ernest Seller and The Boss. Ernest is slow. The Boss is thorough.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
At least, that’s the way The Boss sees it. And, The Boss is a big believer in the Golden Rule: he who carries the gold makes the rules! Ernest has a different way of looking at these sorts of things. He doesn’t spend much time thinking about The Boss [one way or the other]. He doesn’t mind The Boss calling him ‘slow’. After all, the turtle beat the rabbit in that race. And, rabbits aren’t lucky…it seems to Ernest…only their feet are lucky.

Sales Tweet #247

Sales Tweet #247 After that episode with Ernest Seller yesterday, The Boss had horrible nightmares, reliving school days.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
The Boss struggled with school. He was bored stiff about the whole experience. So, he was the kind of guy who frequently dozed off to sleep during class. It happened so often he came to think of teachers as people who talk during someone else’s sleep. Yesterday’s experience with Ernest must have opened some of The Boss’s old subconscious wounds. Last night The Boss had a horrible nightmare about his school days. In the nightmare, his math teacher lost it, went completely berserk, and did a number on the blackboard.

Sales Tweet #246

Sales Tweet #246 Caught with head on desk The Boss said, "I wasn't sleeping! I was meditating on our mission statement".

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Ernest Seller had opened The Boss’s door quickly, without knocking. He surprised The Boss, who had been snoozing in an effort to muster the strength to handle the afternoon of work with Ernest and his sales teammates. You gotta hand it to The Boss. That guy is quick on his feet! He’s got an answer for everything. He’s got those ‘motor wheels’…they never stop turning…unless, of course, he happens to be asleep at his desk.
