Sales Tweet #141

Sales Tweet #141 Ernest Seller has been working like a horse...but only when his Boss rides him.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Ernest Seller is not a lazy guy. So, whoever said that ‘but only when his boss rides him’ was exaggerating. Ernest works hard. I mean, when he remembers he is supposed to be working he works hard. While of course I don’t want to be judgmental, the problem is working hard often doesn’t yield as many good results as working smart.

Sales Tweet #139

Sales Tweet #139 Career Tip: Today, Ernest will be busy practicing how to laugh at his Boss's jokes.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Ernest Seller isn’t the kind of guy who bad-mouths anyone…including his Boss. However, here are a couple of facts I have been able to discover by watching Ernest and the Boss…and reading between the lines. The Boss confuses Ernest, always saying things that don’t make much sense. And, it looks like Ernest thinks that the Boss is suffering from work pressure…often babbling on about stuff and laughing when things are not funny. So, Ernest figures everyone will be better off if he can laugh at the Boss’s jokes.

Sales Tweet #138

Sales Tweet #138 Ernest's Boss said, "Well done Ernest, this is the earliest you've been late this week."

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
The Boss is really taking to those management-training courses. According to the course instructors, he is one of the most avid students of management they have ever had. And, the Boss has made terrific progress. He never used to praise anything Ernest did. Now, he keeps his eyes and ears open for opportunities to compliment Ernest.

Sales Tweet #137

Sales Tweet #137 Speaking of bucks: Ernest Seller is better at passing them than earning them.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Rumour has it those words appeared in Ernest Seller’s first performance review. If that rumour is true then it is quite possible another rumour is also true: Ernest has inspired many bosses to excel at creative writing. The Boss [Ernest’s current boss] has certainly penned some gems…to the chagrin of their Human Resource Department. Or…is that just their ‘game face’?

Sales Tweet #135

Sales Tweet #135 Yesterday, Ernest's favourite Client Mr. Kaye gave him 2 orders: “Get Out!” & “Stay Out!”

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
But, don't worry about the relationship between Ernest and his favourite Client. Mr. Kaye doesn't hold a grudge for long. He just got fed up when Ernest dumped his coffee all over Mr. Kaye's bookshelf and favourite books. As a point of irony, the most-damaged book was a copy of Napoleon Hill's 'Think and Grow Rich'. Mr. Kaye gave the damaged book to Ernest. Odds are Ernest will not read it.

Sales Tweet #134

Sales Tweet #134 The Boss suggested Ernest use his brain...after all, it's the little things that count.

The Thinking Behind the Sales Tweet
Ernest sees himself as quite a handyman. He shares his handyman stories with his coworkers. The Boss, hearing all this, is trying to figure out how to get Ernest to do some DIY Thinking.
